Big Sean Says He's Not Fazed By Beef Between Artists, Comments On Kanye West's New Relationship

Big Sean more concerned with making money than beef, says Kanye West is very happy in his relationship.

Detroit rapper Big Sean has no time for rap beef and he made that quite clear when asked about the past feud between Lil Wayne and G.O.O.D. Music artist Pusha T during an interview with DJ Whoo Kid. Big Sean didn’t seem too bothered by the issues between the two artists and instead revealed that he’s more focused on making money.

“I don’t be knowing what the fuck be going on. Nigga’s is beefing, if they not beefing. I don’t know, don’t nobody know,” said Big Sean in a video posted on NahRight.com. “Who gives a fuck man? I don’t care nothing about that shit…Ain’t nobody dying over that shit. Ain’t nobody dying we making money man.”

Later in the interview, the G.O.O.D. Music emcee spoke on the relationship between Kanye West and reality star Kim Kardashian and revealed that this is the happiest he’s seen Kanye in quite some time.

“That’s the homie man. She’s a cool person all around. I think her and Ye they really make each other happy. I never seen him so happy man. I can’t even remember the last time I seen him so happy. It’s tight man,” Big Sean explained.

Big Sean is one of several artists featured on the G.O.O.D. Music compilation album Cruel Summerwhich was released on September 18. The rapper also dropped his Detroit mixtape this month.

Big Sean Compares G.O.O.D. Music To Death Row, Roc-A-Fella & Bad Boy

Big Sean says his G.O.O.D. Music crew compares to some of Hip Hop’s most heralded cliques.

Big Sean has lofty aspirations for himself and his fellow G.O.O.D. Music members.

In an interview with MTV News, the Detroit emcee compared G.O.O.D. Music - comprised of Kanye West, Pusha T, Common, and others - to some of the most storied collectives in Hip Hop history.

"When we rocked Made in America as a G.O.O.D. Music team, it just reminded how I used to look at Bad Boy and how they had big productions and how I used to look at Death Row or Roc-A-Fella," explained Sean.

"It’s just really tight to be a part of something," added Big Sean. "It’s really tight to be a part of a family, especially sharing a stage with the heroes you looked up to from Jay to ‘Ye, Common, all that.”

G.O.O.D. Music will have an opportunity to make an argument for its place in history when it drops its first album, Cruel Summer, next week.

Big Sean Explains Getting Jay-Z & Kanye West For "Clique" Single

Big Sean recounts how Kanye West and Jay-Z came to be on a track with him.

As “Clique,” which features Jay-ZKanye West, and Big Sean, makes its rounds online, Big Sean remains amazed that he and the Throne ended up on a track together.

In an interview with MTV News, Sean spoke on the track, which is the latest single from G.O.O.D. Music’s Cruel Summer Album, and will be featured on Big Sean’s next album.

"I did the chorus in London to the beat and ‘Ye liked it or whatever [but] I was the first one to do my verse. So I did my verse first, sent it back to him, and didn’t hear anything back for a while [but] then people were talking about it," explained the Detroit rapper.

Big Sean continued, saying that he started hearing positive feeback from a number oe people, including 2 Chainz. “Then I get a call a little bit later after that, and somebody told me that Hov is on the record and I was like, ‘damn,’ ” he said. “They were like Hov and ‘Ye hopped on it, so I’m thinking, ‘Ah, they’re probably gonna take my verse off even though I laced it’ — you know, the Throne, Kanye and Jay … but then I get the call like, ‘Nah, it’s you Kanye and Jay-Z.’”

Sean explained the conflicting feelings he had upon hearing the news. “I remember the first thing I thought was, ‘Damn, I’m excited as hell,” and then I was like, ‘Damn, I wish I ain’t have to do my verse first,” he added, laughing. “But I think it’s well-represented and it’s on the G.O.O.D. Music album and it’s on my next album too.”

The Top 10 Most Popular Hip Hop Singles The Week Of 9/3/2012

Kanye West, Jay-Z and Big Sean get the top spot with their new “Clique,” as a Lil Wayne track hits hard, along with Talib Kweli, Mac Miller, and others.

The Fall is almost here, but with it comes the rise of new music (get it?). Alot has happened over the past few weeks, and our Top Singles list is proof that once artists really get their creative gears going, the results are big. We have some returns this week, but for the most part a lot of it is brand new from some mixtapes that dropped and also some tracks the world has been waiting for. It’s always a good sign when an artist delivers - for both the fans and the artists themselves.

Kanye West, Jay-Z and Big Sean Are One Big Clique

Kim Kardashian reference really goes far doesn’t it? Just kidding, but Yeezy’s line in the latest track"Clique" did pack enough punch to be internet gold: “Eat breakfast at Gucci / My girl a superstar all from a home movie.” Sure, he’s making a reference to Kim K’s sex tape with Ray J, but Kim’s man can’t do it then who can? At Jay-Z’s curated Made In America festival this past weekend, the three-the-heard-way combo of Kanye, Jay, and Big Sean performed this track “Clique.” The teaser artworkfollowed, then the snippet. Long story short, it made it to the tippy top of our list at #1. Congrats, guys.Big Sean had a busy week on the list outisde of the top spot. He reached #4 with "100," #6 with "RWT,"and closed out the list at #10 with "24K Of Gold."

Lil Wayne’s Mixtape Produces Big Results

Everyone was spiraling over Lil Wayne’s new mixtape Dedication 4 with DJ Drama (check out ourreview). The biggest controversy on the tape was of course on Weezy’s remake of Kanye West’s"Mercy" where an assist from Nicki Minaj turned into an admission of adopting the Republican party. Per Nicki: “I’m a Republican voting for Mitt Romney / You lazy bitches are fucking up the economy.” Well then. Surprisingly, that song didn’t hit our top singles list, but "Green Ranger" with J. Cole did at #2. Meanwhile, DJ Khaled’s "Hip-Hop" will never go away. That’s on the list yet again at #8. If you missed our review of Kiss The Ring, read it here.

Big Sean Says He Didn't Like Debut Album "Finally Famous"

Big Sean reveals that he wasn’t enamored with his first release.

Despite respectable commercial and critical appeal, as well as featuring one of the biggest singles of the year in"Dance (A$$)," image Big Sean doesn’t love his debut albumFinally Famous.

"I ain’t really like it that much," said Sean in an interview with HipHopWired.com. “On the first album I wasn’t really in love with every single one. I just think it was a timing thing, I just started getting into the groove I was starting to feel comfortable right when it was due. Really when it was past due, and it kind of fucked me up.”

Sean doesn’t appear to be dwelling on the matter, as he appreciated lessons learned from the first go-round. “You live and you learn and I’m glad it went like that. I’m glad my first album was the way it was and I’m glad the second album is the way it is shaping up to be.”

The Detroit rapper explained that his sophomore release would similarly feature songs for the radio. “I think my first album had a lot of radio songs on it and that is an important part of things and it is a necessity you have to establish. At least radio knows me now as a presence and now they’d be willing to take more chances on me and that’s what this second album is. It’s all about taking chances. [The second album’s] a little bit more personal and making some new shit for the radio instead of trying to go for something else.”
